Happy New Year!
Happy New Year to everyone! I have been trying to post these pictures forever. I finally got it to work!! :-)
We spent the Christmas holiday with Ed's side of the family. We were in St. Cloud on Christmas Eve and headed to Leonard, North Dakota for Christmas Day. It was a wonderful holiday as you can see from the pictures.
The top picture is Grandma Lois, Mary, Grandpa Roger and David. Grandpa Roger made the desks and stools for the grandkids. They sure were a hit. David sits on his almost every day to play on our old computer or color. He loves it and tells me that it is his school in his room! The next picture is Mary, me, and David. The last picture is Mary and David helping Grandma Lois unwrap the Gulland Family picture we had framed for her. It was a picture of us from when we went camping last summer that Lois really liked.
Mary is David's little cousin. She is so cute. She is almost 2 1/2. Boy is she ever smart!! Her and David have a lot of FUN together!! Mary is Ed's step-brother, Dan's, daughter. We spent Christmas hanging out with Lois, Roger, Dan, Amber (Dan's wife), and Mary. A GREAT time was had by all. Then on Christmas morning we loaded up Rogers' suburban and hit the road. We drove to Leonard, North Dakota to have Christmas lunch with Ed's extended family. We saw many of Ed's cousins, aunts, and uncles.
Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas celebrating the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ as well as an enjoyable New Year's celebration. Our New Year's celebration consisted of putting David to bed early, Ed being in bed by 9:00 pm, and I rolled into bed at 10:15 pm. We aren't really much for late nights anymore unless we are out at someone else's home. We are enjoying the new year and thankful for all that the Lord has done in our lives. The biggest change for this year is that I am heading back to work beginning Monday, January 23rd. I will be working at Wells Fargo in downtown Minneapolis. It is going to be GREAT because Ed and I will be carpooling together. We haven't had this much alone time together since before David was born!! What are we going to talk about??!!?? I know that we will think of something.
David will be going to our friend's house during the day. He is excited to go over there because he loves her kids. Plus, he will get to go to school at her house. Kristin homeschools her four children whose ages range from five to eleven. We were all set to send David to KinderCare when God orchestrated this arrangement with Kristin. It is SO AWESOME and definitely a God thing! Sending him to KinderCare would have been a good thing, but why settle for a good thing when you can have a God thing?
