A Word for The Day

These are verses that I am very familiar with. However, I looked them up in a different translation today. Isn't it interesting how the different translations can give us a clearer understanding and give us one of those "Ah, ha!" moments? This is what Paul has to say to us in Philippians 4: 11 - 13 in the Message translation, "Actually, I don’t have a sense of needing anything personally. I’ve learned to be quite content whatever my circumstances. I’m just as happy with little as with much, with much as with little. I’ve found the recipe for being happy whether full or hungry, hands full or hands empty. Whatever I have, wherever I am, I can make it through anything in the One who makes me who I am."

David LOVES Projects!

David uses power tools!

After practicing for months with his play tools, David got the opportunity to use REAL power tools this spring. Grandpa Jimmy bought him a sand box that needed to be put together, so they set it up together while Daddy snapped pictures. We were proud of our little boy, and Ed is excited for what the future holds! Ed and David have already done some projects around the house together. David is a GREAT helper! He actually asks Ed now if there are projects he can help with. He loves doing projects with his daddy! He even helped daddy while we were camping.

We had a relaxing vacation camping. However, we all seem to have come back more tired than when we left. Later nights and earlier mornings will do that to you! We actually all took naps in the afternoon almost every single day while we were camping. We had a little bit of bad weather, but nothing too horrible. We enjoyed our adventure in nature, but we are definitely glad to be home. It is nice to come home to your own bed. It isn't so nice to bring home with you about four or five loads of dirty laundry! We got home early on Friday, so that is what I spent the afternoon doing (along with David's help of course!)
