God is My Refuge!

Hello everyone! I just wanted to share my manna with everyone. The verses come from the book of Psalm. The psalms are full of wonderful wisdom and praise to our God. It also shows King David as he goes through struggles. My manna for today came from the psalms.

Psalm 59:16-17 Amplified Bible, "But I will sing of Your mighty strength and power; yes, I will sing aloud of Your mercy and loving-kindness in the morning; for You have been to me a defense (a fortress and a high tower) and a refuge in the day of my distress. Unto You, O my Strength, I will sing praises; for God is my Defense, my Fortress, and High Tower, the God Who shows me mercy and steadfast love."

This verse made me think of my friends, Andrew and Brenda Gilbertson. Andrew is a friend from college. GO JOHNNIES!!! Brenda has been battling cancer for quite some time, but they are winning the battle!! Here are some people at the benefit concert that their church, Rejoice!, held at Northfield High School. GO BRENDA!!!

What a Week!

I have successfully completed my first week of training at Wells Fargo, and I am done with half of week two. I am really enjoying the training and the people that I work with. I can already tell taht I am going to enjoy working here. There are going to be days when things are tough because the workload is heavy. However, everyone here are GREAT team players!

It has been interesting with being back at work and also trying to manage the housework. I have been starting laundry in the evening and usually getting it in the dryer before I go to bed. Then I typically fold it in the morning. If I have enough time, it gets put away. Otherwise, it gets put away in the evening. This breakdown of household chores and not getting it all done at one time has been the biggest adjustment for me.

Last week I had something going on almost every single evening, so I wasn't able to get any cleaning done. I will hopefully get some cleaning done tomorrow evening and Friday, so I don't have to clean too much on Saturday.

If anyone has suggestions for cleaning, organizing, or being efficient, please let me know. Post your comments to my blog! However, please don't suggest hiring a maid because it isn't in the budget. :-)
