Josie Kay Avery

Here is Josie Kay Avery. She is such a little princess. She will be protected as she grows up not only by God and her parents, but also by her three older brothers. How AWESOME is that!!!

I remember when I was younger I did not think that being an older sister was that great. I often dreamed of being an only child. It wasn't that my sister and I didn't get along because we did for the most part. I think that I just wanted my own space, and I wanted to be daddy's little princess. I still remember that my sister, Jessica, had pajamas that said "Daddy's Little Princess." I was so jealous that I didn't have a pair. Crazy the kinds of things that your mind thinks up, huh? I know that my dad loved me, but those silly pajamas were a big deal to me. What kind of memories do you have of your siblings?

Now Jessica and I get along well. We don't talk often on the phone, but when we do we talk for a long time. Jessica and her family live in Texas. I have also been blessed with another sister and a brother through my dad's marriage to Mary. I have enjoyed being a part of this family. Mary has been the mom that I have longed for since my biological mom passed away when I was ten. I am so thankful to God that he has brought Mary, Dawn, and Travis into my life. The neat thing is that I knew them all when I was growing up in Mississippi. Mary was a family friend of ours, so Jessica and I did stuff with her kids. We all get along really well and have a great time when we are together. I am hoping that this Christmas we will all be together because it has been quite some time since all of us kids have been in Mississippi together. Hopefully it will all work out.
