Life Update

Hello from the Gulland family! All is going well for our family. We are standing on God's promise of healing. Last weekend both Ed and David didn't feel well. David was better at the beginning of the week. PRAISE GOD!! Ed stayed home from work for three days. I started to not feel well, but I didn't have to stay home from work. David and I are going to take it easy this weekend to allow our bodies to rest and God's healing power to work!! :-)

Ed is on a flight right now to Mississippi. He is heading down to help my parents with their rebuilding efforts in the aftermath of Katrina. More importantly, he is going down to Mississippi to see Jason Leonard off to Iraq. Jason's deployment ceremony is on Thursday, March 16th. Ed is going to get to spend some good quality time with Jason this weekend on Sunday. Then during the week (before the ceremony on Thursday), he will be helping my dad. Ed will be returning on Saturday, March 18th. David and I already miss him, but are glad that he is able to help out my parents and spend some time with Jason before he is deployed.

Let me know what is happening in your life by either posting to my blog or send me an email at gullandfamily@netzero.net.

We love you all and are praying for you! Thanks for all your prayers for us and for our friend, Brenda. Brenda is doing much better!!! She has had more better days than in the past. She has been able to sleep peacefully at night, eat food and keep it down, and also spend time fellowshipping with friends and family. While symptoms are still present, Andrew and Brenda, continue to stand on God's Word and wait on His timing for the manifestation of her healing!Keep the prayers coming!

I look forward to hearing what God is doing in your lives. Love you all!

Baby News

How many of you thought when you read the title that Ed and I are having another baby? Be honest!! :-) If you didn't, then I am not as clever as I had hoped to be!! ;-)

Why the title of baby news? My younger sister, Jessica, and her husband, Chris, are expecting their first baby in September. She sent me some ultrasound pictures in a pdf file, but I can't get them to upload to my blog. The baby does not have a name at this point other than Baby Boy Carper.

Hopefully I will be able to take a few days off at the end of September or the beginning of October, so I can go visit my new nephew. I am excited to be an auntie for the fourth time!! My sister, Dawn, and her husband, Chris, have a little girl, Addison. Addison just turned one in November. My brother, Travis, has a four-year old, Alex. He will be five in September. Ed's step-brother, Dan, and his wife, Amber, have a little girl, Mary. Mary is 2 1/2. Lots of FUN!

Destiny Promise Kuchinka Makes Her Debut!

Here she is, Joe and Amy Kuchinka's miracle baby, Destiny Promise Kuchinka. Destiny arrived on Sunday, February 5, 2006. SUPERBOWL SUNDAY!!! Good thing Joe isn't really into sports! ;-)

She appeared on the scene at 6:36 pm weighing in at 5 pounds 6 ounces and 19 1/2 inches long. Both mom and baby did well and the Kuchinka's have adjusted well to her arrival.

Amy stays at home with Destiny, and Joe was able to take time off from work to celebrate Destiny's arrival and help Amy with the transition from taking care of other people's children to raising her own. :-) Joe is in business for himself, and he has a great assistant, so he was really able to enjoy the time with Amy and Destiny.

When I last spoke with Joe and Amy, Destiny had her days and nights confused. Hopefully this issue has been resolved! Thanks for your prayers for their family!!
